Jolt is a nonprofit created by commercial and film production professionals to mentor and teach aspiring filmmakers while production campaigns for Tampa Bay nonprofits.



During each three-week intensive course, the student teams will learn the ins and outs of the industry, from creative conceptualizing to post-production. By developing pro-bono campaigns for Tampa Bay nonprofits, Jolt will give each student real-world experience, and actual film for their portfolio, and intimate knowledge of the marketing opportunities within Tampa Bay while helping to strengthen out local nonprofits.



The Jolt Program:



Each course is over three intensive weekends with 10 hour days, with the mentors available during the week for added guidance. Students will be in teams of six, working with the professionals on an actual campaign for a carefully-chosen nonprofit. With an eye toward providing the best creative experience for the student, the teams will compete against on another to provide the winning campaign, much like they will find in an agency.
